General Muhoozi Tells All Bobi Wine’s Secret Dirty Dealings With Museveni

In a shocking January 5, 2025, X posts revelation, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), has dropped a bombshell regarding Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine’s dirty dealings with President Yoweri Museveni’s 39-year-old regime.

For the first time, the first son Muhoozi has made public mention of the National Unity Platform (NUP) leader’s relation with Museveni’s government, exposing a web of deceit and manipulation to put Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) strongman, Dr. Kizza Besigye who had dominated the opposition for 20 years in political oblivion.

“It was actually our idea (me and other Generals). We convinced Mzee that we can use Kabobi [Bobi Wine] to remove Besigye from being the kingpin of the opposition. After we supported him with a lot of money (and he succeeded) he started abusing us,” Muhoozi posted at 9:01 pm.

David Kabanda, the Kasambya MP and a renowned Muhoozi supporter, quickly augmented Muhoozi’s claims via an X post.

“While consulting for the position of MP Kyaddondo East, Bobi reached out to General Salim Saleh [Museveni’s brother], Muhoozi Kainerugaba, and Kale Kayihura [who was the Inspector General of Police then] requesting for money,” he revealed.

“At the time, Bobi had tried to woo Dr. Kizza Besigye, urging him not to field an FDC,” Kabanda added.

Muhoozi further signalled that his revelations, which seemed shocking to many, were still quite small unless Bobi ran to his usual cover, General Museveni, his father.

“You are shocked by that? I haven’t even started on that Kabobi fool…let him run to Mzee [referring to President Museveni] for refuge as usual,” he added, “Kaboobi knows that the only person protecting him from me is my father. If Mzee was not there, I would cut off his head today!”

The tweeting General then swore, “the pass we gave Kabobi in 2020-2021 no longer exists!! Even if he runs under which Mzungu’s underpants.”

The revelations by Muhoozi who has endured Bobi’s disparaging and naked abuses, lends credence to past accusations by some veteran opposition players that Bobi is indeed Museveni’s project whose major objective is to stagnate their mission to remove Museveni from power.

Interestingly, Bobi Wine was friends with some members of Museveni’s inner circle, including Muhoozi, General Kale Kayihura (the former Inspector General of Police), and the highly influential General Salim Saleh (President Museveni’s brother), until recently.

This close relationship sparked speculation about the nature of their association, until Muhoozi’s shocking bombshell that raises further questions about Bobi Wine’s integrity and his true intentions given the largely spoiler actions on the opposition politics yet highly beneficial to the incumbent Museveni.

Bobi Responds

Bobi Wine who quickly reacts whenever the General refers to Kabobi, response touched on just one Muhoozi’s “I would cut off his head today!” post was one of fear, as he expressed concerns about his safety.

“The threat by Museveni’s son [who also heads Uganda’s military] to behead me is not something I take lightly, given that many have been killed by him and his father, and considering their several attempt at my life. I refuse to be intimidated by the cowardly regime. The world is watching,” Bobi said in an X post.

As Uganda prepares for the 2026 elections, one thing is certain: Muhoozi’s revelations have changed the game, and Ugandans will be watching anxiously.
